Everyone knows that Linen has a great reputation. Chances are, if you wear it regularly, you are making a conscious effort to be the best version of yourself. Yet, if you aren't quite convinced; maybe you know it's amazing but you don't own much of it.. Here are some of key reasons you need to know about it.

1. It can be worn a million different ways
What I love about linen is that is has no bounds. Most people think of linen as the perfect casual/ lounge wear, but it is so much more than that.

I can actually say, that for the first time in my life I witnessed a linen
wedding dress. Yes, most likely the most formal occasion you could think of.  So, basically, you can dress your linen up and down, high and low, Mary Kate and Ashley.

2. It's not killing the planet
Linen is considered a premium fabric, meaning it can be expensive, so people tend to steer away from it, but have you thought about at what cost? We must remember that not all fabrics are created equal.

Linen is a plant-based fabric made from flax, which can be grown on terrain that’s unsuitable for food production. When grown through traditional techniques, linen actually consumes very little water or pesticides, leaving quite a small environmental footprint. Linen is naturally biodegradable, which means you won’t be adding to landfill or poisoning the soil.

3. It breathes, so you'll sweat less
Linen has amazing temperature regulating properties. People who wear linen clothes perspire 1.5 times less than people who wear cotton and twice than those who dress in viscose.

It is the perfect attire for a hot climate, and is a long wearing fabric, twice as long as cotton. It is also less likely to cling to your skin, so it blows, dry's and becomes cool again.

4. It's gets better with wear
Linen gets better as you wear and wash it. According to Vogue, one way you can both ensure your linen bedding lasts the distance is by ditching the iron. Linen will naturally become softer and more comfy with every wash. Another reason to ditch the iron is to make those natural crumples and texture do their thing, giving it that look book, Pinterest aesthetic.

5. It gives you an effortlessly cool vibe
Aside from all of the obvious reasons why linen is amazing, everyone who wears it generally feels more confident in some way. For example.. Oh this Tea Towel? Oh, these Cushions? Thanks, they are linen.
